Welcome to Mississippi!

Beloved Friends,

i'm sorry that it's taken me a bit to get to a
computer to be able to write to you. i am safe and
sound here in mississippi. i am currently in a cute inn
that has finished renovating a good portion of it's
rooms for my initial training. (we are taking in SO much information right now!!)

Even as we stay at one of the nicer rebuilt places in buloxi, devastation
abounds in every which direction. (it's heart breaking, but i am reasuured that i am in the right place!)
there is a sense of exhaustion as people are trying to piece back together
there lives , and a feeliong that the world may have
forgotten them as katrina's victims start to fade from
the media, with the exception of politican's blaming
each other for the mistakes made and actions not
taken. i am so excited to think that God is bringing
RESTORATION to lives and to a place, and that i will
get to be apart of that!

also, while i have your "ear" i would like to say
that...you have made me feel DEEPLY LOVED! thank you.
i must also admit that i miss your company though it's
only been a few days, i am praying for you as i know
that many of you are enduring great loss, struggling
through hard times and are finding yourself in need of
a refreshing from the Lord. Please let me know how i
can pray for you. Or how i can rejoice with you!

i better go as it's late and i have training all day
tom. .....i will finally get to move into my site in
gulfport on monday! more news will follow!
