my bracket stinks
know that trash talking will get me nowhere
my roommate looks green, not because of saint patty's day
try to remain calm
hospital ER visit
make phone calls to other roomies and sick roomies mom
roommates appendix burst
try to remain hopeful
more update phone calls
cancel all my appointments for next day
wait for surgery
try to sleep in icky waiting room
get sad news from mama
wander around hospital
try to sleep at friend's house

saturday:
get ready to go back to hospital
wear same thing two days in a row
eat breakfast at place that has both video poker and cigarette vending machine
visit roommate in hospital
make jokes about him hitting on nurses while on pain meds
make the long drive home
still driving
sleep
process sad news from mama
cry
shower
shopping date with friend
go home
more crying
dinner with 'nother roommate
bed!

brother calls very early
share sad news with brother
listen to him cry
hang up
cry
back to bed
show up to church a hour late for episcopals
show up to church a hour early for presbyterians
hand out bulletins
pray
worship
choke back tears
worship some more
go home
eat lunch
cry
nap on couch
go to roommates play
clap a lot
get dinner with roommate
tell her her play is wonderful
drive back to new orleans
visit roommate in hospital
go home
knit in the car
sleep
