Austin: Day 87
I've just returned from two weeks in California(One week spent visiting with friends and family over thanksgiving and one week spent working for the family I nanny for in San Francisco.) Those were great weeks in places I love..and a Little grudgingly I got back onto the plane that would take me back to Austin.
And one of the first things I've noticed is that Austin has been getting ready for Christmas since I've been gone. My neighbors have lights up, they are blasting Christmasy music at my favorite coffee shop and the days are getting a little cooler (but not much).
Their is a lot of anticipation in the air.
And while most of the world waits eagerly for Christmas...
I am reminded that I am in an Advent season too. I am Full of Hope. I am waiting for God to come near to me in this place. To do something new. I think He will. I think that at some point it will become clearer why I'm here. Why this church plant, in this city at this time. New relationships will form. I will find myself unable to imagine life away from Austin, but not yet. For now I wait with eager anticipation of the wonders God will do.
and I can't wait.
