Dear Linda,

Life expectancy: 49
Annual income: $13,000
Chance to get ahead: 0%

The farm labor crisis is real
and this is our chance to help.

Tell Congress to support AgJOBS.

For over 30 years, they've worked in substandard conditions for wages far below the poverty line.  They've lived in decrepit housing and struggled to get by without health care or the chance to earn a decent income.

Who are they?

They're America's farm workers and they're among the most vulnerable people in our nation.

There's a bill before Congress that could drastically improve the lives of these men and women who pick our country's food, but we need to act fast.

Contact your representatives in Congress today and ask them to support the AgJOBS Act.

The Agricultural Job Opportunities, Benefits and Security Act ("AgJOBS") is a bipartisan compromise to help resolve the farm labor crisis and it is a crisis:

The real wages of America's farm workers have not increased in nearly 30 years, with the average laborer making just $13,000 per year, with no health care or time off to seek medical care for themselves or their families.  Unsafe working conditions and injury on the job are common occurrences, and these workers' average life expectancy is only 49 years.

The AgJOBS Act represents a critical opportunity in our nation's history for farm workers and agricultural employers to finally address this crisis with a compromise that at the same time provides America with a stable farm labor force and helps ensure that farm workers are treated fairly, by giving them an opportunity to earn legal status and fair wages in safe conditions.

America's farm workers can't wait another year please tell Congress to support AgJOBS legislation today.

Thank you for your support.
