FAQ's!

What will your duties include?
I will work in the office, keeping record of who were helping and fallowing up with those people during different stages of the rebuilding process. We really want to develop relationships with the families we help. I will also try to get to know my new neighborhood, and try to see how the local church can reach out to them! I’m most excited about that idea!

How long is your commitment?
My commitment is at least a year long, with the understanding that I could stay on a few years longer. I’m praying about this regularly.

What ministries are involved?
DOOR, PC (USA)Young Adult Volunteers, Presbyterian Diaster Assitance (PDA) and MISSION YEAR. I’m Mission Year Alumni, having served in Atlanta in 2000-2001.


How much money will you need to raise?
I need $3,000 for the year. You may donate online by visiting www.missionyear.org/donate_php

Where will you live?
I will be living in Gulfport, Mississippi at a local church in a community of other volunteer, like myself, who will help staff the operations there. There will be many sites along the gulf…but I’ll be in Gulfport!

Can I be apart of your mailing list?
YES! Just email me and let me know if you’d like to be on my email update list!

What if I’d rather have email updates than monthly letters?
if you are on my mailing list, but would rather get email updates please let me know (as the cost of postage is getting outrageous to be doing so many letters each month!).

Do you have any other specific needs?
Besides the support money I need to raise I don’t have many needs. I do need a few items, like a laptop and transferable airline miles that would BLESS ME, but I know God will provide for my needs!(i have a wish lish posted in my profile if you're intrested!) Also, I welcome mail, as it’s always nice to hear from home!
