The Top Ten Memories of '06!

top ten memories (of my santa rosa life):

*summer nights outside on the donaghy front porch, talking about God.
*running errands with james.that kid, a car and smoothies = the perfect brother/sister day!
*the "mission year" reunion in michigan for rachael's wedding: hot tubbing with the atl girls, geo cache trips and my cute nieces!
*my mom crying the second she opened her gift from all of us "kids" on mother's day.
*reading under shady trees with my second graders, and explaining that , if you are covered in lady bugs, that's lucky!
*wednesday nights with my girls: yummy dessert, good friends, and tim gunn.
*the dance party on the boat to frank sinatra, and then again in the trailer to rachy's mix during the labor day family trip at shasta.
*folding socks with sarah
*movies with gracie-always an adventure to the "movie store"

top ten memories (of my gulport life):
*dry-walling with my new roomies. singing any song we knew lyrics to while "frosting" the walls.
*UT games with kerry, erin and mical. people magazine, snacks and yelling at the screen.
*making a quick casino stop at the island view with erin, she won a whole five bucks, and i broke even with one dollar!
*visiting the christmas bush farm 20 minutes away, only to buy a tree at the home depot down the street.
*team crossword puzzle time: "um, kerry, is that a u or an n?"
*the castle man kids, all of them in our living room at once:coloring, napping and needing a snack!
*team beach night after some intense meetings:four people under one blanket, cuddling for warmth, looking for shooting stars and finally getting some rest.
*having a carefully planned children's sermon foiled by , well, children.
*listening for heartbeats (see blog of same name)
*finding "happy birthday linda!!" notes all over the house on my birthday, and then everyday for about a month afterwards, in my pillow, in the shower, in my shoes...

    Sounds like a great year! You rock Linda. I really think God has you in the right place and it's been great to see growth in you since you left this fall. Look forward to many more memories with you!!
